Welcome to NowGIF, the fast and free online GIF maker where you can create GIFs from videos and images instantly. These Terms of Service explain your rights, responsibilities, and how we keep your data secure while you use our video-to-GIF converter.

1) Acceptance

By accessing or using NowGIF (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2) What NowGIF’s Online GIF Maker & Converter Does

NowGIF lets you generate GIFs from images and short videos using a backend encoder API (FFmpeg). When you click Generate, your browser uploads your selected file to our API for processing and we send the finished GIF back to you. No account is required.

3) Uploads, Storage, and GIF Conversion Rules

Temporary processing: Uploaded files are stored only for conversion and deleted automatically after processing or within a short retention window.
No archival: The Service is not for permanent storage. Keep your own backups.
Sensitive data: Do not upload confidential or sensitive content.

4) Your Content & License

You retain all rights to your uploads. You grant NowGIF a limited, revocable license to host, transcode, and deliver your content (and resulting GIF) only to operate the Service. This license ends after processing and the short retention period.

5) Service Providers

We may use third-party infrastructure providers (e.g., Render, Fly.io, Google Cloud) to run the encoder API. They process your uploads and GIFs on our behalf.

6) Usage Rules for the GIF Generator

Use the Service lawfully. Do not upload illegal, infringing, or harmful content.
Do not overload or reverse engineer the Service.
Upload only media you have rights to use.
We may apply size, duration, or rate limits for reliability.

7) Privacy, Data Logs, and Security at NowGIF

Servers may log technical data (IP address, user-agent, timestamps) to operate and secure the Service. See the Privacy Policy for details.

8) Warranty Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” NOWGIF DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

9) Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NOWGIF SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10) Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.

11) Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service and its users.

12) Governing Law

These Terms are governed by New York law, USA. Disputes will be handled in New York courts.
